Writing Stubbornly

28 02 2011

I’ll be honest.  Today, I’m not feeling it.  I’m still getting over a sore throat, and it’s already hot again in Florida.  Furthermore, I’m just not in the mood to do anything productive.
Needless to say, I took one look at my blog today and said, no.  Better to be productive on a day when I’m in a good mood and feel stoked about writing, right?  I don’t want to scare my readers away because I’m grouchy or, worse, boring and dispassionate.
Then I came across the following quote (thanks @reinventyrself for sharing), and it reminded me about the quality that all my favorite authors posses, the quality that got them where they are today:  Darn, stubborn tenacity.

“Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity.”
-Louis Pasteur

So, I’m going to go get a bite to eat, take a walk in the sunshine, and play a game or two with my brother.  Then?  I’m going to be really stubborn, and decide to keep writing.
